What this is
The CAP Analytics Flight Simulator is an interactive, browser-based scenario tool that demonstrates how analytics initiatives create, lose, and sustain business value over time. Inspired by the INFORMS/CAP lifecycle and system dynamics modeling, it shows that analytics value depends not only on deployment, but also on delivery capacity, data quality, change management, lifecycle discipline, and model drift.

How it works
The simulator runs a simplified 60-month dynamic model. Users can select preset scenarios or adjust key inputs to explore how different operating conditions affect five outputs over time: deployed solutions, adopted solutions, sustained business value, stakeholder trust, and organizational capability.

What users can explore
Users can test questions such as how demand growth affects delivery, how poor data quality constrains throughput, how change management influences adoption, how model drift erodes value, and under what conditions trust and capability strengthen over time.

This is a conceptual simulator created for learning, discussion, and thought leadership. It is not a full stock-and-flow implementation of the complete CAP/system dynamics framework. Its purpose is to make the dynamics of analytics value realization easier to explore and communicate.
