I am excited to share a project that has been taking shape through years of doctoral research, professional experience, modeling, and sustained thinking about how organizations can make better decisions within complex systems.

The book introduces a framework I call "Structural Decision Intelligence".
It addresses a fundamental question:
How should organizations make consequential decisions when operating within complex, tightly coupled systems whose behavior cannot be fully understood through conventional analysis, isolated metrics, or static snapshots?
Organizations today have more data, computational power, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities than ever before. Yet sophisticated analysis does not automatically produce better decisions.
A choice may appear perfectly rational when evaluated within one function, one metric, or one moment in time—and still produce unintended consequences or cascading failures across the larger system.
The problem is rarely a lack of intelligence.
It is a misalignment between the architecture of the decision and the architecture of the system in which its consequences will unfold.
The book brings together system dynamics, organizational reliability, decision science, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to provide leaders with a practical way forward.
Its purpose is not to promise certainty in an uncertain world. It is to help organizations:
— reveal the hidden structures shaping their choices;
— understand interactions, feedback, and cascading consequences;
— test alternative decisions before committing to them; and
— design decisions that can adapt as conditions evolve.
The book is now in active development and is scheduled for publication in the near future. As the work progresses, I look forward to sharing selected ideas, models, and insights from the Structural Decision Intelligence framework.
